She kicks off her world tour next week with a performance in Belgium.
But Celine Dion decided to visit the neighbouring country of France ahead of the gig, stepping out in Paris on Saturday – accompanied by her son, René-Charles Angélil – as she geared up for her tour five months after the death of her husband, René Angélil.
Seeming in good spirits, the 48-year-old singer waved and spoke with fans as she headed to a photoshoot in the capital.

Dressed in all black, Celine embodied Parisian chic as she made her way to her waiting car, oozing glamour in her elegant ensemble.
Clad in a biker jacket and skinny jeans, she added some height to her frame in a pair of heeled black boots with silver studs running across the front.
Layering up with a practical yet stylish scarf, she finished off the look with a large black handbag nestled in the crook of her arm, injecting some colour with the scarlet embroidery.
Son René-Charles, 15, kept things casual with a sportswear look comprising black tracksuit bottoms, a printed T-shirt and dark rain jacket.

Both mother and son seemed happy to take selfies with fans and sign autographs, despite the poor weather.
Celine appeared to take strength from the fans in the French capital and waved at the mass of people who had gathered to see her.
And on Saturday, Celine stepped out wearing a stunning pair of metallic heels along with a green jumpsuit and black leather jacket.
The iconic singer styled her tresses slicked back into a ponytail and sported heavy eye make-up.
She is due to kick off her mini tour next week in support of her upcoming French-language studio album, to be released later in 2016.
The tour will start with two performances in Antwerp on Monday and Tuesday before heading to Paris and then to her native Canada, with a final performance scheduled in Trois-Rivières on August 31.
Celine has been determined to continue her commitments this year despite the sad loss of her husband at the age of 73 on January 13 following a long battle with throat cancer. Her brother Daniel died just days later.

The star broke down on stage at her residency show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace just weeks after her losses.
During the 2016 Billboard Awards last month the My Heart Will Go On singer said that she wanted to prove to her children that she was strong and do her husband proud by following his mantra of ‘the show must go on’.
Celine’s son made a surprise appearance on stage to present her with the Icon award after she made her first televised singing performance since the death of her husband and her brother.
Eldest son René-Charles emerged on stage with her award. (She also has twins Nelson and Eddy, 5).
She was overcome with emotion as the crowd gave her a standing ovation and she apologized to the audience for crying. Many audience members were also reduced to tears during the moment.
‘I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for crying. I want to be so strong for my family and kids,’ she told the crowd.
‘I don’t want to cry in front of you,’ she then said to her son. ‘Thank you very much. This is such a tremendous honor. Music has been my passion since before I can almost remember.’
She added that her late husband Rene Angelil will ‘continue to watch over me from up above.’
