Throughout her decades in the limelight, Celine Dion has cultivated an image as a sophisticated style icon, as well as a revered singer with a show-stopping vocal range.
And on Monday, the French-Canadian superstar, 48, failed to disappoint, when she arrived at the Christian Dior fashion presentation in a sleek black ensemble in the fashionable city of Paris.
But after posing for shots outside the imposing venue, the singing beauty’s glamorous arrival almost unravelled in dramatic fashion, as she tumbled into one of her male handlers on her way in.
The mother-of-three was aided by the steady hands of the man as she attempted to find her footing, averting an even more embarrassing mishap from taking place in front of the growing gathering.
As she made her way into the event, Celine looked every bit the polished star, donning an all-black ensemble that included a peplum jacket with fitted leather trousers and vertiginous strappy heels.
Adding a slick touch with a pair of matching leather gloves, the star carried a black quilted leather bag with an eye-catching silver strap, which shined almost as brightly as her diamond bracelets.
And, staying true to her glamorous style, she arrived in a pair of oversized cat eye sunglasses, while a dazzling pair of diamond doorknockers earrings gave her ensemble extra pizzazz.
Celine enhanced her natural beauty with a light brush of makeup, while her blonde hair cascaded beyond her shoulders in stunning bombshell waves.
Inside the event, she rubbed shoulders with a range of stars, including Marion Cotillard and Johnny Hallyday, as they watched models – including Bella Hadid – strut their stuff for Haute Couture Week.
Stunning Celine endured a rough start to the year, after losing her beloved husband René Angelil and brother Daniel within days of each other.
She told People: ‘I really, really want to prove to my kids their mother is strong. René always insisted the show must go on. You know what, I’m 48 years old and I lost the love of my life.
‘I miss him a lot from when he was great but not when he was suffering. I cannot be selfish. You have to let people go. I feel at peace.’
