Celine Dion’s husband and manager René Angélil succumbed to the disease on January 14 at the age of 73, so doing her part to Stand Up to Cancer was a very personal thing.
In addition to fielding phone calls for the benefit, the singer went on to perform for the crowd at the star-studded event.
The legendary 48-year-old songstress started out the evening in a very casual outfit as she answered incoming pledges.
She later changed into her eye-popping crimson gown for her performance.
The impressive sleeveless garment featured a deep scoop neck that showed off a hint of her cleavage, while the rest of the material fell all the way to the floor.
Some large bejeweled hoop earrings finished off the elegant ensemble.
Heartthrob Bradley Cooper evidently liked the singer’s gown enough to take several pictures with the five time Grammy Award winner.

For her time behind a desk, Celine layered a black leather biker jacket over her white logo t-shirt, and opted for comfortable jeans on the bottom.
It seemed as though her hair and makeup had already been done, anticipating the performance later in the show.
Her blond locks were pushed back and fell straight to her shoulders, while nude lipstick, light blush and some significant eye make-up ensured the Power of Love singer was ready for her stage debut.

Celine appeared to actually enjoy talking to donors, and at one point gave a big thumbs up to the camera.
The battle against cancer is obviously very close to the singer’s heart, as she’s lost several family members to the disease.
Back in January, she lost her husband René Angélil, following a long battle with throat cancer at the age of 73.
Two days later, the singer’s older brother Daniel died of throat, brain and tongue cancer at the age of 59.
